How to get rid of tonsil stones?
Tonsil stones forms when food particles get stuck in the little crevices and crater that are found around the tonsils. They produce sulfur compounds that cause a bad smell even after brushing. This can be lead to severe annoyance and even leads to low self esteem among other negative effects.
Ways to get rid of tonsil stones
Tonsil can be surgically removed. This procedure can be carried out by an ENT (ear nose teeth) doctor and involves different factors that depend on what the doctor thinks you need to do. Tonsil removal surgery is usually a simple operation where the doctor numbs the throat and removes the tonsils by scrapping them out. This technique is recommended mostly is the stones are large and painful.
This is a procedure conducted by a doctor using a CO2 laser with the aim of reshaping the geography of the tonsil crypt, smoothening the crannies and nooks that are prone to development of tonsil stones. It is a permanent solution to tonsil stones but it’s however considered an invasive procedure.
Anti-bacterial mouth wash
Using the mouth wash for a few days loosens the foundation connected with the tonsil pockets. The mouthwash contains a unique anaerobic bacteria fighting ingredient known as OXYD-8 that frees reactive molecules of electrons that permit odor to exist. The stones can be removed by the tongue or by throat constriction so as to swallow hard. You can raise the tongue to the upper part of your mouth and tighten your throat .You can also stick the tongue on the nasty pearls in between swallows. The combination of the two can also be very fruitful.
Saltwater garbles and carbonated beverages
Salt water or carbonated beverages loosens the stones making it easy for them to dislodge from the tonsils and decreases swelling and bacteria. Try gargling with salt water made of half teaspoon salt to one cup of warm water 4-5 time a day .Tonsils are very delicate, so extreme care while gargling is called for.
Flashing the affected area repeatedly using strong blast can break up and dislodge the stones. Water-picks are the best to use as they are more sensitive and produce less pressurized streams that do not damage the delicate tonsils. When using the water pick-up, start by using the lowest setting and if you find it painful try another method.
Antibiotics such as erythromycin can remove tonsils. It’s however important to note that this method provides just a temporary solution and works only if the tonsils have been infected. This is because they do not reverse the fundamental cause of tonsil stones that is foodstuff caught in the tonsils.
